One of my favorite artists, the mystery man known as BANKSY, did one of the raddest thing’s I’ve heard of in a long time earlier this week. He sold a total of 8 original paintings estimated at a quarter of a million dollars(roughly 31K per canvas) for just $60 each. He had an older man set up a booth outside Central Park NY selling his original works to anyone who passed by. He only had 3 customers the whole day bringing in a total of $425(which didn’t even cover the cost of his booth – the booth allegedly costed $500 for the day). Things like this really inspire me. It’s great to see great well known respected artists give back to the common man whether it just be to give them an opportunity to own his work, or maybe even give them a positive financial opportunity. Who knows that the exact reasoning is, but you got my respect!
